Mer information om OMOM:s VÄSKOR!

For us, how our products are made is absolutely crucial. We want the people who sew and make our bags to have secure, fair, and safe workplaces. The other day, we received a fantastic update from our factory in India, showing how strongly they are investing in their team right now! This manufacturer makes our backpacks, waist bags, and toiletry bags.

Approved audit for the world’s strictest requirements

Our partner was recently audited and fully approved in an independent audit conducted by the auditing organization QIMA for the luxury group LVMH (which owns brands such as Louis Vuitton and Dior).

To pass such an audit, the factory must meet the absolute highest standards in Social Compliance (social responsibility):

  • Fair working conditions: Guaranteed contractual wages, reasonable working hours, and zero tolerance for child or forced labor.

  • Safety & Health: Good ventilation, proper protective equipment, and high fire-safety standards.

  • Independent interviews: The auditors conduct private conversations with employees on the factory floor (without management present) to ensure that everyone is happy and treated well.

Passing this audit is proof that the factory is operated with great respect for the people who work there.

Launching its own bag-making school (Skill India) 🎓

As part of its commitment to the local community, the factory is now launching its own craft school under the government initiative Skill India.

The aim is to offer vocational training in bag making and sewing. This gives local residents the opportunity to learn a true craft from the ground up, develop their skills, and secure stable employment with fair conditions.

More space for health and safety

As part of its latest factory expansion, they have also allocated space for an on-site sick room (sick room), so that staff can quickly receive care or rest if they feel unwell during the workday.

We are so happy to work with a manufacturer that puts its employees first.
